The acid-soluble nucleotides of mature pea seeds.
نویسنده
چکیده
Although there are several reports concerned with the nucleotides of seedlings (e.g. Bergkvist, 1956, 1957; Sebesta & gorm, 1959; Abdel-Wahab & El-Kinawi, 1959, 1960; Cherry & Hageman, 1961), little is known of the free nucleotides of mature seeds. The aims of the work described in this paper are to identify the major nucleotide components in mature pea seeds, to estimate their relative concentrations and to examine the seeds for significant change in nucleotide pattern during storage. The metabolism of mature seeds is especially interesting in that they respire, albeit at a very low rate, over long periods of storage with little other detectable metabolic activity.

متن کاملChanges in some nitrogenous components during the germination of pea seeds.
The changes in major nitrogenous components during the germination of pea seeds have been followed. During the period of rapid axis growth, 3 to 8 days following germination, the nitrogen content of the cotyledons declines rapidly with an accompanying increase of nitrogen in the developing axis. The accumulation of alcohol soluble nitrogen, primarily amino nitrogen, in the cotyledons and axis d...

In order to evaluate the effect of Inoculation by pseudomonas plant growth promotinh rhizobacteria and foliar application of boron-nanochelate of pea( Pisum sativum L.) mother plants on germination traits and seedling growth of produced seeds under Cadmium stress a factorial experiment based on completely randomized design with four replications was conducted. Experimental treatments were 12 c...
متن کاملSubcellular distribution , detection of protein phosphatase 2 C and identification of protein phosphatase 2 A as the major quinate dehydrogenase phosphatase
Protein phosphatases 1 and 2A (PP1 and PP2A) were identified in a variety of plant cells and found to be particulate or soluble depending on the species. In extracts prepared from oilseed-rape seeds these enzymes were associated with microsomes and more rapidly sedimenting fractions, whereas in wheat leaf extracts they were largely microsomal, the remainder being present in the soluble fraction...
متن کاملComparative Transcriptomic Analyses of Vegetable and Grain Pea (Pisum sativum L.) Seed Development
Understanding the molecular mechanisms regulating pea seed developmental process is extremely important for pea breeding. In this study, we used high-throughput RNA-Seq and bioinformatics analyses to examine the changes in gene expression during seed development in vegetable pea and grain pea, and compare the gene expression profiles of these two pea types. RNA-Seq generated 18.7 G of raw data,...
